The roof-related duties are limited to routine and minor building maintenance and repair. The worker may inspect roof areas for visible damage or deterioration; clean roof surfaces and drainage areas; identify minor leaks; apply sealant, caulking, or patching materials to small leaks, cracks, joints, or damaged areas; and secure or replace minor damaged components as necessary to maintain the physical condition of the building. The worker will not perform specialized roofing construction, complete roof installation or replacement, structural roof alteration, or other specialized roofing work. The employer does not require any certification or license for the worker to perform the duties of this position. The minimum experience requirement is twelve (12) months of work experience. No roofing certification, trade license, or other professional certification is required by the employer.
The fabrication duties involve minor carpentry work performed as part of general building maintenance and repair. The worker may measure and mark materials; cut wood or similar building materials to required dimensions; drill holes; assemble and fasten materials using nails, screws, bolts, brackets, or other appropriate fasteners; sand or finish surfaces; and install or repair counters, benches, partitions, shelving, and minor wooden structures such as sheds or outbuildings. These duties are performed as part of general maintenance and repair and do not involve specialized structural construction.
The worker may use common hand and power tools and maintenance equipment, including hammers, screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, utility knives, tape measures, levels, saws, drills, sanders, grinders, ladders, paint brushes and rollers, plumbing tools, and electrical testing devices. Materials may include lumber, plywood, plaster or patching materials, screws, nails, bolts, brackets, hinges, plumbing pipes and fittings, valves, faucets, sinks, toilets, electrical switches, wiring, light fixtures, paint, caulking, sealants, and other materials used for routine building maintenance and repair. The worker may work with building plumbing, electrical, air-conditioning, and general building systems for routine maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, and minor repairs consistent with the duties of a General Maintenance and Repair Worker.
The worker will perform various repair, and maintenance works such as plumbing, carpentry, electrical, masonry, maintenance & other building maintenance tasks. Maintain and repair buildings, interior, and exterior structure, to include roofs, partitions, windows, doors, floors, woodwork, plaster, or other parts of buildings. install, test, maintain, and repair building equipment or machinery. Perform preventive maintenance to ensure that equipment and machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate. Install pipe or plumbing assemblies, fittings, valves, appliances such as water heaters, or fixtures such as sink or toilets. Install electrical fixtures, switch and wiring and perform routine repairs to the electrical and air conditioning systems. Operate test equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions. Repair or replace defective equipment
parts, using hand tools and power tools, and properly reassemble the equipment. Paint internal or external parts of building structures. fabricate or repair counters, benches, partitions, or other external minor wooden structures, such as sheds or outbuildings. Determine materials needed to repair machinery, equipment, or building structures. prepare reports of work performed and materials used or purchased. Perform general cleaning after repair, installation, or building work.
